Accessibility
The accessibility statement of The Uptown House lists the standard the site targets, the choices behind it and how to report a barrier.
Standard
The Uptown House targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA across every page of theuptownhouse.com.
What the site does
- Every page starts with a skip link to the main content region.
- Pages use one h1 and headings that descend without skipping a level.
- Body text holds a contrast ratio above 4.5 to 1 against the white background.
- Article pages carry no client-side JavaScript, so keyboard order matches reading order.
- Text scales with browser zoom to 200 percent without horizontal scrolling.
- Images carry descriptive alt text, and decorative images carry empty alt text.
Known limits
Article photographs on The Uptown House show finished rooms, and a photograph cannot fully convey a spatial arrangement. Articles state the relevant dimensions in the text so the measurement never lives only in an image.
Reporting a barrier
Readers who hit an accessibility barrier can write to [email protected] with the page address and the assistive technology in use. The desk treats access reports at the same priority as corrections.
